Now Accepting Applications
Applications for Spingarn Alumni Association's scholarship program for the 2023-2024 academic year is now open. We have chosen to award scholarships to graduating students from the Washington Metropolitan Area. Public high school students should be recommend by members who will advance the student's application. .

April 30, 2024.

Public High School Graduating Seniors
Eligibility:
Be recommended by a Spingarn Alumni Association member in good standing.
Attend a public high school in Washington, DC, Maryland and/or Virginia.

With your application you must submit:
You must have at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA, which should be verifiable in your application paperwork.
Complete the application for scholarship page
A typed / computer generated essay of at least 200-250 words
describing what makes YOU most qualified to receive the Dr. Purvis J. Williams Scholarship.
Submit a copy of most recent official transcript.
Letter of recommendations (at least one (1) faculty.
Submit three (3) references, one which must be from a counselor.
Letter of acceptance from your college /university by high
school graduation date.
